There are four collection schedules in Jefferson Township. Download the 2023 Collection Calendar to confirm your collection day and recycling weeks. Trash is collected weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday. Yard waste and recycling are collected every other week on opposite weeks. Please place materials at the curb the night before pickup, as Rumpke may be in the Township early.
- Bag and tie your trash prior to placing it in the cart.
- Recycling should be placed in the container loose.
- Material should be fully contained within the cart with the lid closed. Excess materials should be placed neatly beside the cart.
- Face the opening toward the street (face handle away)
- Carts should not be placed in the street. Place them 3 feet away from the street and 3 feet from obstructions such as mailboxes, parks cars, utility poles, and other waste and recycling containers.
